Why not here? Jesus, that line just hit me like a brick. There are few blogs I've found that are really worth reading, and this is one of them. But I kind of agree that you should maybe kill it. The time of clover has rolled passed, and what you have here, this thing that's like a blog and like a story, whatever it is, it's complete. It's one of those rare moments when a good writer sets out to type some life out of his bones and ends up unintentionally creating something great, coming full circle almost like you planned it. But I do hope you start another one, and no doubt I'll be reading it.

Yo there Eddy!

It actually blows my mind that you are home, especially since you're home more than a month before I get home, craziness! It somehow seemed like you were going to spend the rest of your life in Ireland; I remember first when you said that you were going to spend a year rather than a semester, I was like "What, are you crazy? You're going to be gone Forever!" But now, what do you know, you're back just 274 rotations of the earth later. Amazing, time flies faster than falcons ever could.

Currently I'm fixing a hole where the rain gets in, and stops my mind from wandering. It really doesn't matter, whether I'm wrong or am right. Silly people running around and never ask me why they never get past mi puerta.

Well Eddy, it's been quite an amazing journey it seems, and whether you've got a head of steam or a balloon with a lack of air, you've got a friend in Chile.

If you start another blog, I'll be the first subscriber.

Salu2. Ian James.

Wow. good post, great portraits. Time to learn what moving on is like, I suppose. Take solace in the fact that you've got more friends, mate.

This post made me think again about how little time I've got left here in the Southern hemisphere. It really motivates me to get out and do all of the things I know I'm capable of.

Cheer up buddy ol' pal. Sounds like you could really do with some blues music. Put on Bob Dylan and B.B. King, crack open a cold beer and know that you're alive, that's my advice.

Looking forward to your next post. That's pretty shocking that your year in Ireland is just about done. Blows my mind, to be honest. I've got about a month left of school and then a couple weeks of travel.

Cheers,
Ian

YO there Eddy,

Nice to hear an update. So your 80% done with finals and you're not partying and getting smashed? What's kind of alcoholic are you? I expect there to be inebriated adventures abound, maybe even a fling with an Irish floozy or two. Anyways, you're getting back to the US three weeks before I even finish the semester down here in Chile; strange how that worked out. I've been absent for far too long on my own blog and I think I"ll put some stuff up today to give it some fresh blood.

Have you been finding any good new music? I would love to hear about it. If you can, you should start a Dropbox account. It's a pretty easy way to share music by the album with your friends, in addition to any other kind of file. I'll send you an invite, then we both get some extra free space on top of the 2gb that everyone gets for free. It's nice because you can put like your 10 or 15 favorite albums on there in a folder and share them with anyone else that has a drop box account.

Anywho, I"m also a big fan of an online service called Evernote if you want to check that out. It's pretty much like your second brain that can remember anything that you need it to. Evernote.com

Cheers and best of luck in the days ahead.

Pity the video didn't work.
The ball thing makes no sense to me, but the dude on top is a statue. Or the whole thing is a statue. I don't know or understand.
And, yeah, dementor. Too, the dementor is apparently a peace statue. Don't make peace with Austrians, i reckon.

Yeah, giant post. Glad you could make it through.

Yo Eddy,
A couple things:
You've got mad crazy white legs in the group picture.
The video you put up said "embedding prohibited" and then YouTube told me it's not available in my country. Drat and dribbly drab!
The greens in those castle pictures are amazing. I wish I could eat those pictures for dinner.
What was up with the picture with the golden sphere and the person on top? How would one get up there? Human catapult?
And is that a Dementor in that picture with Sarah?

Those are the little things that I jotted down while reading through your monsterously large post. If you're post was a professional wrestler from a Sega Genesis game, it would totally be Yoko Zuna. Sweet trip all in all. I'm sick as a dog at the current moment and will not retreat to my bed. Greetings from Santiago.

Yo Eddy,

Keep up the critical thought and tumultuous overthrowing of the current state of literature and life. In the middle of struggle lies inspiration and progress.

Much love - have fun in Austria. We should do a Skype call with all of our buddies that have access to Skype (I know that Bart and I do). I think that we should do our best to overcome geographical distances because we're going to have to get used to it sometime.

Cheers,
Ian

P.S. I still read every entry of yours. Sizweet. More entries on my side of things in the coming days. Speaking of things of chilling nature, you should check out the photos I took of a Chilote ghost ship called El Caleuche that picks up the souls of drowned sailors and fisherman in the archipelago only to disappear.
